Ryan is an Occupational Therapist and Accredited Hand Therapist with over 7 years of experience in private practice, providing specialised upper limb rehabilitation across both clinic and hospital inpatient settings. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Tasmania and a Master of Occupational Therapy from Bond University.
As an Accredited Hand Therapist with the Australian Hand Therapy Association, Ryan has advanced clinical expertise in post-operative care, complex upper limb conditions and the rehabilitation of acute and chronic injuries. He is certified in GEM-t dry needling for the upper quadrant. He is highly proficient in providing tailored rehabilitation plans, wound care management, as well as static and dynamic fabrication of custom thermoplastic orthoses. Ryan has extensive experience working with semi-professional and professional athletes, supporting safe, evidence-based return-to-sport outcomes.
Ryan is committed to delivering high-quality, individualised care grounded in best practice, with a strong focus on restoring function and optimising long-term outcomes for his patients.

As a private patient you will not require a referral. Just make booking via the booking button above or contact our admin team via phone.
You will require a referral from your General Practitioner if you are under an Enhanced Care Plan, WorkCover QLD or Third Party Insurance claim.
Yes, if you have Occupational Therapy listed as an extra with your private health fund, you may be eligible for a rebate. We advise that you look into your individual fund to confirm.

At Tailored Hand Therapy, we understand that life can get in the way. However, we ask that if you are needing to cancel or reschedule your appointment, that you please provide us with 24 hours notice. As a part of the cancellation policy, you are not subject to a cancellation fee. However, multiple cancellations may result in a discontinuation of care, to allow other patients more availability to seek treatment.
